Hello there and welcome to my journal! I have pretty much everything here...from rants about RL to gushings about my fandom (QaF, as if you didn't know) to writing fan fiction. If you don't want to put up with all of that and only want fiction, go to my writing journal, abloodredsky . But be warned, you may see the occasional poem.

This journal is locked to non-friends, so if you're here to read my fiction, drop a comment to this entry and let me know so I can add you. I will friend you back if and only if you are 18 or over and have your birthdate on your profile. But like I said, I talk about pretty much everything, so you'll have to tolerate my rants or ignore them completely, whatever works best for you :D

Hello flist, how are you? :) I'm happy to report that I'm finally healthy again, I had a somewhat-serious stomach bug that finally went away! (It was difficult...I'm allergic to penicillin, and the other anti-biotics took a while to kick in...it sucks being allergic to the most powerful one!.) 

My internet connection remains the same...NONE. NADA. ZILCH. I just managed to use my friend's. I used to go to the library and use their wireless, but they're closed for renovations and now I can't even go there! Starbucks glares at me because I use their internet haha, so the only time I can actually go online is through my BlackBerry, and I can't very well beta with it! 

So beautiful Alicia,saturn0432, that is why you have not gotten my beta yet. I am so sorry :( I hate that I made you wait this long. I don't know if you want to continue the wait or just go ahead and post your work (I wouldn't blame you if you did!) I just feel so terrible. *hugs* 

Dear Rory, same goes for you. I don't think I have received anything new from you, but just making sure! *sigh* I hate this.

Do not fear though readers, this time next month I will be back at university with full-time wireless access! I'm so excited :)

I think I've heard this before, but I found it again and it's gorgeous and I wanted to post it =)

 

One day a man was walking along a beach when he noticed a figure in the distance. As he got closer, he realized the figure was that of a boy picking something up and throwing it into the ocean. Approaching the boy, he asked, "What are you doing?"

The youth replied, "Throwing a starfish into the ocean. The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them back, they will die."

Another LJ update via BlackBerry!

OK, so I feel terrible!

My father found out that I pulled straight A's this semester. Yay me, right?

Well my dad went ecstatic and as a label queen is showering me with too expensive gifts. I know, I'm his little girl but this is what he has bought me over the last few days:

1.) UGG boots (which are SO ugh and I dislike them greatly and I feel like a spoiled brat for saying that but my dad looked so hopeful when he presented them to me!)

2.) Pair of sunglasses (Prada...eep!)

3.) Another pair of sunglasses (Versace)

4.) A Coach bag

God. My father. I talked him out of a bunch of Lacoste stuff and Northface jackets, but the man is unflappable!

OK enough for now, my mother is bugging me to go to bed!

First off, thank you so much todevotedfan, the champagne was very tasty! =) You are too sweet! 

And I had this crazy dream where I met some of my friends on my flist in LONDON, of all places! It was like a QAF LJ convention; it was so fun! And everyone's faces were blurry (except those of whom I already know from pictures and such!). But I remember there was a lot of squealing and happy weeping.

I woke up smiling. My sister looked over at me and tried unsuccessfully to raise an eyebrow.

It was wonderful.

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year! 

And I have one resolution this year: 

WRITE MORE!

I wish I could launch on a spiel about how much I love you all... but alas, my internet sucks here at the Marriot in Miami and I'm about to head out with family and friends to Miami's Bayside to watch the fireworks and have some champagne! ;) 

So you've been spared my speech (haha!), but know that I've had an amazing year with each and everyone of you, reading fic, gaping over others' creativity in graphics and vids and so, so much more! There have been many highs and lows this year, but I've learned from them all.

I am updating via BlackBerry! Sorry I've been MIA, but for the last few days I've been traveling down via car with the family from Connecticut to
Florida. We are currently in St. Augustine on our way to Orlando for New Years', then probably Miami :D

I have very limited internet access! :(

Eeep! I've been spamming lately, but now it's time to wish my entire flist a Merry Christmas and wish them the best for the upcoming year. With my flist, every day seems like Christmas, with generous people always making icons, banners, headers, writing fics, and making videos for each other year-round! We're a tight-knit group, perhaps you could call it, but we're accepting and I love it!
